This ending sequence of the 13th episode of Civilisation is profoundly moving: It is lovely to hear Kenneth Clark's views on various subjects such as culture, history and courtesy. It is moving to watch his wistful sign-off where you don't even realise he has said his last words. (And so entirely 'English' and understated to finish with the words '...not exactly joyful at the prospect') Who can not be moved when he slowly walks out of the room - and then when he gently touches the Henry Moore sculpture before exiting the frame completely... 'History is ourselves' Wonderful. (Copyright to the BBC)
